FALL 2009

Our little Yoldy received a blunt eye-trauma, October, 2009 while living in Canaan and is now blind in one eye. One of the other children flung an empty CD cover and accidentally hit Yoldy in her left eye slicing her cornea. we brought her here to Miami, Florida on an emergency medical VISA and she has been staying with the Seidel family for 4 months while receiving treatment. At first the doctors said there was nothing they could do and Yoldy would probably never see again in that eye. Sister Gladys of Canaan said, “That’s what man says, now let’s see what GOD says about this”. Just before Christmas, Yoldy had an intraocular lens replacement and a cataract removed at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute of Miami. SHE WAS BLIND, BUT NOW SHE SEES! Our plans are to send her home in January 2010 after she receives her new glasses. While she was here, the Seidel’s took Yoldy to Disney World with them on their vacation.
